For the Faithful: Scheduled Services for the Great Fast, Holy Week,Pascha & Bright Week (2014)

Our For the Faithful resource page now includes the complete schedule of services for the Resurrection (Smithtown, NY) parish for the remainder of the Great Fast, Holy Week, Pascha and Bright Week, through and including Thomas Sunday (the Second Paschal Sunday).

Of special note, the Feast of the Annunciation of the Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary is next Tuesday, March 25th. We will celebrate Vespers with Divine Liturgy on the evening of this Great Feast at 7PM. NOTE: the Feast of the Annunciation is a Holy Day of Obligation for all Byzantine Catholics of the Metropolitan Church of Pittsburgh.

Hymns, propers & order of worship guides for upcoming services will be linked to this page in coming days, with announcements on periodic updates made via blog post.

We look forward to joining with you in prayer as we await and soon celebrate the joyful message of the Resurrection, our patronal feast!

Come Now All You Faithful

As we begin the third week of the Great Fast, we will be resuming our blog ministry in anticipation of Pascha and beyond.

Please note that propers and order of worship for each upcoming Sunday will be posted here, but will also be available via link on the main page of the Resurrection Smithtown website, usually by Wednesday evening.

Please join us once again in exploring the richness of our plainchant tradition!

Propers for Great & Holy Friday

We have posted a marked version of the +Msgr. Levkulik service book (1976), cross-referencing to the current Divine Liturgy text ("Green Book") whenever possible and appropriate, namely for the standard hymns of Vespers.

A link to the marked text is now available on the For the Faithful resource page.
